Security Researcher at Traboda Cyber Labs

Sreesankar is a hardware security researcher at Traboda CyberLabs, specializing in IoT security. Having previously led bi0sHardware, a team dedicated to hardware security. He has significantly contributed to major security events, including the NCIIPC Pentathon, the IC3 Hardware CTF, and the hardware hacking village at the Cisco Security Summit. He actively conducts training sessions in hardware security research.

Hands-on Activity Ground Intermediate 1 hour

Pins, Pads & Payloads is a hands-on hardware, IoT and OT security demo by the Traboda CyberLabs team. Drop by the table to watch live attacks on real training hardware: firmware probing and reflashing on the CompatrIoT platform, PLC tampering and industrial protocol attacks on the Sysrupt OT range, and short-form hardware challenges anyone can attempt between talks. Mentors will walk interested attendees through each technique end-to-end. No prior hardware experience required for the IoT side; CTF players and OT defenders will find plenty to dig into

What We'll Demo:

IoT & Firmware: CompatrIoT platform. UART/SPI/I2C probing with logic analyzers, JTAG/SWD debug access, firmware extraction and reflashing on real embedded targets.
OT/ICS: Sysrupt. Portable OT range simulating a small factory: Modbus and DNP3 traffic inspection, PLC logic tampering, and HMI compromise, walking through real attack chains adapted from public OT incidents.
Hardware Challenges: Short-form puzzles attendees can attempt at the table: signal decoding, side-channel observation, and CAN bus challenges from our work on the RAMN platform.
