Workshop: IoT Bug Discovery: From Vulnerability to Exploit

The IoT Uncovering Bugs workshop is a practical, hands-on session designed to equip participants with the skills to identify, analyze, and exploit vulnerabilities in Internet of Things (IoT) devices. This workshop is ideal for security enthusiasts, pentesters, developers, and anyone keen on understanding the intricate world of IoT security.

Participants will explore real-world scenarios, delve into the methodologies used by attackers, like zero clicks, hardware sbom exploitation,selecting hardware tools to hack IoT hardware, alternative devices and Microprobing with icebites and practice with tools and techniques for uncovering hidden bugs in IoT ecosystems. The session is crafted to balance theoretical knowledge with extensive practical exercises to ensure a comprehensive learning experience.

Mohammed Saqeeb Shariff

Falcnix is a core team member of the IoT Security Research Group(IoTSRG) and serves as the Chapter Lead for null Bangalore. He enjoys researching embedded security and works on hardware attacks like PCB reverse engineering, glitching, and side-channel analysis.

A speaker and trainer, he has shared his insights at events including BSides Bangalore, BSides Dehradun, c0c0n, DEFCON Delhi and Mystikocon, among others. Professionally he leads the Hardware Security Lab at SISA, where he focuses on securing payment systems.
